WATCH OUT! There are a lot of them and they are Everywhere!

Watch Out! There are a lot of them and they are Everywhere!

While driving through Emerald Lakes today (one of our many Lake communities) I kept coming across these Darling Little Cuties, EVERYWHERE!

fawn     moms and fawns

Each doe I came across had a set of Twins with her. Considering how harsh our Winter was I am very surprised to see this. Some were teeny tiny. Others were mid size. I had to see at least 6 Moms with their twins. THAT'S 12 FAWNS! What a great day.

They were just so cute and so playful but, sometimes so scared THAT if I had not been driving very slowly, one of them would have run into the car for sure.

PLEASE! While driving around these days WATCH OUT! They are everywhere.

If you see a deer there is a very STRONG chance that right behind her is a fawn or two. ANTICIPATE their arrival. SLOW down for them and let them pass, PLEASE!

Sounds like a beautiful place to live, we are lucky to see a mule deer every once in a while out hiking in Arizona.  Or occassionally during the winter if we get a dusting of snow we'll see more come down from the mountains, but I've yet to be lucky enough to see babies.  hanks for sharing!

Bobbie- oh my gosh!  You are so lucky to be able to see all of those deer.  And yes,  please be careful when driving.

Good morning Bobbie.  Glad to see the young ones being so numerous.  And, yes, I hope everyone takes care to keep them safe.

Hi Michele,

They are a sweet sight to see and enjoy, our white tailed deer.

Hi Kathy,

It was a rare occurrence, thats for sure. The brush is thick and the wild blueberries are a plenty in this area. Maybe that is why there were so many of them.

Hi Gabe, Me too. They are so quick to jump and run, it is easy for them to get hit by a car

Love watching these delightful fawns as they play off my salt marsh, Bobbie...I don't like the deer ticks they carry!

I am very careful Bobbie. I had one fawn hit me on the side trying to get to her mama. $2700 later I was back driving my car.

We have a river within a mile of my house and the Deer are thick at twilight. You have to be very careful on the roads.

I see Deer all over Bobbie. I have had one hit my car. I have seen them grazing in yards not scared of people at all.

All of us need to be very careful drivers. The odds are against us for hitting a deer even when we are taking great care.

Bobbie: A very good tip to be a cautious and defensive driver, especially with all the deer running about and kids just about ready to go back to school.

Good morning Bobbie,

I'm sure many appreciate your warning to watch out and be safe with all these "cuties" running around!

Bobbie , the one in the picture on the left is a baby but boy can they run.  It's actually more like an olympic sized hop.  So fun to see 'em out and about.
