When looking at Homes Sold in the Poconos Month to Month for the last few years we are very happy to see the continuing trend of each month being an improvement over the previous month.
Look at those Purple columns for 2014, for example. They clearly show a very nice incline in the number of homes being sold in the Poconos.
Homes Sold in the Poconos has now seen a consecutive increase in the number of homes being sold on a Monthly Basis for 20 Months In A Row when compared to the previous years numbers. DARN GOOD NEWS FOR SURE!
This is wonderful, as you know. We had been on a consistent down trend for at least 6 years in our area. The Number of Homes being sold has risen for the last three years and in 2013 the average sold price stayed the same as the previous year. Stabilization - We Hope!
Our foreclosure rate, due to the Economy and the “Housing Bubble” as well as other circumstances, continues to be one of the highest in the State as illustrated and monitored by “Realty Trac” at their site, click here. Many months this year we still saw the foreclosure rate at 35%-40% of our Sold Homes. This is too high as you well know to have our prices start to realize an increase.
