23rd Annual Ice Tee Golf in the Poconos

They will have two (2) challenging 9-hole Golf courses set up for your golfing pleasure. Sure sounds like “challenging fun.” Golfing on ice. They will have greens, water traps, obstacles and roughs for you to try your "club" at. There will be fine food, great entertainment, prizes, contests and more.

You will be allowed two clubs and one putter. A non-refundable $25 donation is collected instead of a Greens fee.  There are even having an Awards ceremony afterward at 3pm in Ehrhardt’s Waterfront Restaurant.

In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled to Sunday, February 9th.

The Event is presented by Pocono Lake Region Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Ehrhardt’s Waterfront Restaurant and Crystal Cabin Fever.

Sure sounds like a fun way to spend a Winter Sunday in the Poconos.

I cannot imagine golfing on ice.  However, I would be there having fun trying.  Go and have fun.

Bobbie: If there is a will, you can bet there is a way for golfers to get out on the "course".

Bobbie- I'll bet there will be a lot of avid golfers out, no matter how cold it is.  Sounds like fun as long as I'm sitting inside with a cup of hot chocolate.

Hi Anita, Isn't it funny! Can you imagine going out on the Lake and playing golf in the freezing cold. Should be a new adventure!

Hi Kathy, I'm with you, I'll stay in the warmth and you are right. I'm sure there are plenty that will be giving it a whirl.  We're getting another 2-5 inches of snow and more record cold so I hope they dress appropriate. Thanks.

Bobbie, what a COOL idea! What fun! (And COLD! LOL) I wonder if the golfers wear spikes?!

It does sound fun and as long as you dress warmly you would have an adventure like no other. Have a good Sunday.

The only part I don't understand is the part about if there's inclement weather.  As far as I'm concerned, if there's ice on the lake it's inclement weather!

HiDebbie, You're right. As long as you are dressed appropriate it should be a great time.

LOL Gabe. I agree. Especially on a lake that size for the ice to be thick enough to play on, it' inclement weather. LOL
