5th Annual Give and Take Day In Chestnuthill Township in the Poconos

5th Annual Give and Take Day in Chestnuthill Township! Sat., April 6th, 2013

Ways to recycle in the PoconosThis is a great idea for another form of recycling.  Instead of throwing it away or letting it sit around collecting dust, take it to Give and Take Day.

Teaming up to offer this Day to Township residents are the Township’s Earth Day Activities Committee and Close the Loop ( a local recycling company).

Bring a gently used, reusable item to the Township Building between 11am and 1pm to GIVE and then from 1pm to 4pm you can TAKE away something that was given that you could use.

Another great way to recycle!

Bobbie: I like the sound of this and I bet many consumers in the Chestnuthill Township in the Poconos will as well.

Hi Anita, You Bet. What a great idea and wish more of the Townships did it. Thanks!

Hello Bobbie,  That seem to be a great event for people,  I would think that it helps everyone out.  One mans trash is another....

Bobbie - This alternative form of recycling is the way to go. Too many things are thrown away - as Will said perfectly, One man's trash is another....

Happy Easter to you!

Hi Will, It sure does seem to ring true often - one man's trash . . . .   Thanks

Hi Debb, I agree. We throw away too much as it is. Thanks.

Have a happy Easter, Bobbie.  That's a pretty neat idea and I'm sure lots of people will come out to take advantage of the opportunity.

Bobbie~ Love that idea. What happens to the items that are left over at the end of the day?

Posted by Donna Foerster, Metro Denver Real Estate Agent (HomeSmart Realty Group) about 6 years ago

Hi Donna, Not sure about that but I imagine since a Recycling company is helping to run the day, they take them and recycle them.  Amazing what they are recycling items into today.
