Riding the Real Estate Roller Coaster In The Poconos of Pennsylvania is not over yet.
The Pocono Mountain Region encompasses parts of four (4) Counties in Pennsylvania. Monroe, Carbon, Pike, and Wayne. Primarily I cover Monroe County and parts of Carbon County.
As you can see from the following Graphic our Roller Coaster ride is not over yet. Our prices continue to fall, unlike many areas of the Nation where their prices are either starting to stabilize or have stabilized. This Market Trend Report for Monroe County is done as a follow-up with local data to the Graphic that can be found at "Riding The Trillion-Dollar Real Estate Roller Coaster." NOTE: The Data is actually 11 year data and not 10 year data as the graphic states.
The GOOD NEWS when you look at these Market Trends is that at least the Number of Homes Sold for 2010 and 2011 were about the same. Hopefully, 2012 will be up from these numbers.
As the demand goes up, the prices will start to stabilize and then once stabilized they will begin to climb again.
We are all anxiously awaiting that date. Just stabilizing would be a welcome change to our market area.
