Abby was asked by a friend recently, a little Pomeranian named Skippy,  "Do the Communities of the Poconos allow you to have pets?"

Well she set right to work at the Computer and searched for the answer.

What she found is "Yes, they allow pets" however you have to adhere to the laws of the State, County, and Township that you live in as well as the rules and regulations of the Community that you live in.  For more information on these laws she found these helpful sites:

PA State law

Dogs within Monroe County must be licensed

and are required to conform to the PA laws.

Each township within Monroe County has its own ordinances regarding pets also.

Each Community will have their own set of rules and regulations regarding pets too so check the rules and regs of the Community that you live within.

So if you live here all the above are applicable.  If you own a Vacation home in PA you will also have to adhere to the laws regarding proper care and treatment of your pet, not necessarily have to be licensed within the State, but you will have to adhere to the laws of the township and the rules and regulations of the Community your vacation home is within.

Abby says, "Alright! More friends for me to play with.  Whose got a fenced in backyard so we can be free to really romp and have fun?"

Thanks Todd C.
