Here's a taste of our Pocono Newsletter for this Month. Hope you find some of it useful. It is interesting to look at the statistics for the month, and year's end and then look at them by school district.  Overall for the year our averages have dropped from last year, sad news to say the least.  Our days on the market continue to rise.  The good news is that with this being the low listing time of year it helps to ease the burden of our Absorption rate which was 22-24 months over the summer months and has now dropped to 17-18 months.  Can't wait until it drops to 6 months like so many other areas of the Country. Hang in there Poconos. Better days are coming!

We spent a lot of time in the Carbon & Monroe counties this past year and noticed many more foreclosures than we previously expected.  How do you foresee the housing in this area picking up?

Administration PAtrashout, Everything is cyclical and as we contine to see numerous areas around the Country showing signs of improving markets, ours will follow as it has done in the past.  The Poconos was once a Primary Vacation Destination and we are gradually working our way back to being that again.  Many new tourist attractions have moved in to our area and many of the existing tourist attractions are making or have made improvements, not to mention 3 large Resort Casinos within 45 minutes of the Heart Of The Poconos.  All of this will add to our transition back to A Fabulous Vacation Destination and the housing statistics will improve as we transition.

Thanks for stopping by.
