Wow, THE FUN OF WINTER IN THE POCONOS OF PA is the snow ice castles that were created by nature today.
This one is a side view of about two feet of snow on my patio table, outside on my deck. It was just a "mound" and NOW, after several hours of sleet and rain, look how the sides of the mound have fallen off to create what I call "my snow ice castles" It reminds me so much of the many Canyons I have visited out west. What an awesome sight. That's why I am calling it The Fun of Winter in the Poconos.

And all along the shoveled sidewalks the mounds of snow have turned to this. It's just a natural creation of beauty, so reminiscent of caverns and canyons, I was just astonished to see it.
Now if I were a great photographer (which I'm not) I could go out there and really get some awesome pics today. If the sun would shine just a tiny bit, to get glistening snow in the pics would be wonderful.
Stuck in the house for two days so far due to the heavy snows, sleet and rain. Yes, the dog days of winter!
Enjoy the pics.
