More fun at the Office here at RE/MAX of the Poconos!
Many of you may have seen our postings on Facebook of our “Decorate your door for the Holidays for Charity” at our office for the 2013 Holiday Season.
That contest proved to be successful and great fun. Everyone contributed a donation to enter the contest and then the winner donated the funds received to their favorite charity. Our Winner donated her winnings to AWSOM, our local Animal Shelter. A great cause and we all were happy to do our part.
Another item that we have and contribute to for fun is our House Display. On the ledge in our stairwell is a large display of different types of houses and buildings. Over the years everyone has chosen or been given a house of their own to decorate as they please.
Recently I was given my own. You see I’m known at the office for bringing in chocolate cake or some type of dessert each time I have floor time, to spread some “sweetness” through the office when I am there. (I need my sweets after lunch - darn sweet tooth anyway). My “house” was labeled Bobbie’s Bakery. I’m working on enhancing it a bit, added some CELEBRATE candles the other day, and am open to suggestions for other touches.
What makes it so much fun is on occassion someone will visit their house and find something ODD has arrived. It is always great fun to see what has arrived and then try to figure out who put it there. A few weeks ago someone discovered an outhouse had been added to their home, with a foreclosure sign and a number to call for more information. That was hysterical!
It’s the little things around the office that make it a great place to work. You need to laugh while you work through the trials and tribulations of transactions too!
