Well Winter sure surprised us this year with an earlier than usual snowfall. As of 5pm this Saturday afternoon we have 7" of snow and it is October 29, 2011. We usually have to wait until at least November or December to receive snowfall of this amount. Although, I can remember receiving snow on October 9th before but it was only a dusting.
Here's to hoping that this is not a sign of things to come.
This snowfall is a heavy, wet snow. It is really sticking to all the branches of the trees making for some awesome pictures, and so low lying branches.
Winter in the Poconos starts off with a Whopper!
When I took these pictures this afternoon the sky was as white as the snow. What a sight!
Maybe this will bring a wonderful ski season for the Poconos this year and more people into the area that would love to purchase "the Perfect Vacation Home in the Perfect Pocono area."
