Well I don't know whether to say Hip, Hip, Hooray or Bah Humbug. The year end stats for 2010 for Pocono Real Estate Market Trends showed the average sale price to be down by 5% for the year compared to last year. So it is good that our prices only dropped 5% (thats the Hip, Hip, Hooray part) because last year they dropped 12% so 5% is better than 12%, however, they still dropped (thats the Bah Humbug part). We ended the year with the average number of homes being sold for the year at 1695 (which is definitely a Bah Hummbug) whereas last year the average number sold was 2310 (thats a 26% drop in the number of homes sold for the year when comparing 2010 to 2009)See the graph below.
