It was a hysterical sight really. I guess you can't really appreciate it unless you knew my age and I am not going to divulge that (teehee).
Anyway, here in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania we have had our share of snow this winter season and. . . . more than enough of the cold. -27 with the wind chill factor is toooo darnnnnn cold.
Being the animal lover that I am and knowing how difficult these hard winters can be on the deer, especially the two fawns that I have watched grow up over the spring and summer and now to see them without their mother, I was lugging a bale of hay out to the backyard for them. I have done this numerous times over the past few weeks without a problem.
Well, this time. . . . . I stepped into a pile of what I thought was more snow and WWHHOOOOOOSH! Down I went. Funniest thing. I have not fallen (or played) in the snow for years. The pile was actually a block of snow from weeks back that had turned into a block of ice. I got snow everywhere. Up my sleeve, down my pants, all over my neck and face. It just happened so fast I fell straight down. TEEHEE! TEEHEE! It really was funny.
Sorry, guess you had to be there.
It's just another incident relative to living in the Poconos. Like the showing of a foreclosure yesterday. Now keep in mind the foreclosures usually are not plowed and we have had over 2 feet of snow and my buyers show up in sneakers and sweatshirts. Imagine that! No plowed driveway or sidwalk or anything and no heat on in the house. Funny! teeheeteehee!
Until next time . . . . . .
